Customer and user conferences

Your user conference: a programme customers can navigate, and attendance data for every session.

Build tracks, rooms and speakers once and publish them to the event page and the WebMobi app, list your partners under your own tier names, and see after each day which sessions your customers actually attended.

Tracks, levels and rooms · speakers and partners · the agenda in the app · who attended each session

What it is

A user conference is a product company’s biggest marketing moment and its best research opportunity: hundreds of customers choosing, session by session, what they want to hear about. WebMobi runs the parts the event team owns — registration, the programme, speakers and partners, the attendee app and check-in — and records attendance per session, so product marketing can see which roadmap talks drew a crowd.

It is for the event, product-marketing and developer-relations teams at software and product companies that run their own customer conference, from a one-day user summit to a multi-track week. For conferences in general — academic, association or trade — see conference management software.

WebMobi Event App Builder · Build and launch your event app yourself.

WebMobi Event App Builder is a self-service event app builder that helps conference organizers, associations, agencies and event teams create and launch branded event apps — with registration, check-in (including offline check-in and walk-ins), session attendance, agenda, speakers and exhibitors in one platform.

A programme with tracks, levels and rooms

Each talk is a session with a type, a track — “Platform”, “Developers”, “Admins” — a level and a room. The programme can be typed in or imported from a spreadsheet of up to 500 rows; import your speakers first and each session row can link them by email or by name. Speakers who are not yet placed on a session still appear on the event page, which helps when you announce keynotes before the agenda is final.

Programmes change until the last week. Edit a session once and the event page and the app both show it. The whole agenda can go out to a spreadsheet and come back in — times are written as the event’s wall-clock time with the zone named — so a content team can review it offline without sessions moving. Importing the file back adds sessions that are not already there and leaves existing ones alone.

Speakers and partners

Speaker profiles — name, title, bio and headshot — appear on the event page and in the app, never with the speaker’s email address. A customer speaker who presents in two sessions is one profile linked to both.

Partners are sponsors, and the sponsor list uses your own tier wording — “Platinum partner”, “Integration partner”, “Community partner” — rather than a fixed set of five, in the display order you choose, so the headline partner sits first whatever its tier. Each sponsor has a logo and a page of its own. If the conference has a partner expo, add exhibitors with booth numbers and categories; attendees can search them on the event page.

The agenda in your customers’ pockets

Attendees open the conference in the WebMobi app on iPhone or Android and find the agenda, speakers, partners and rooms your team entered once. For a conference that carries your product’s brand, your own branded app — your name and icon on the App Store and Google Play — is a one-off $999 add-on; Apple and Google set the review times.

Conference names change between the announcement and the event. Renaming it never changes its web address, and if you do change the address, every old link — including links to pages inside the event — still arrives.

Which sessions did customers choose?

Scanning badges at session doors turns a programme into data. Staff choose the session — with Scanning into in the app, or the Session control on the web Check-In page — and then scan. The Check-in Analytics page shows each session with the number of people who attended and, when you select it, their names with in and out times. Re-entries are counted as visits, not as extra people.

  • Compare tracks: Session Attendance lists people per session side by side.
  • Follow up with the right customers: the CSV export lists the attendees of each session, one row per visit.
  • Separate interest from attendance: registrations tell you who signed up for the conference; session check-ins tell you which talks they walked into.

Session attendance only exists where someone scans. Put a staffed phone at the doors of the sessions you care about most; a talk nobody scans shows nobody.

One programme, several teams editing it

Product marketing owns the content, the events team owns logistics, developer relations owns a track. Make each of them an admin of the event and they can edit sessions, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors — not only the person who created it. The event’s History keeps every content change with its before and after values, so when a session time moves, someone can find out what it used to be.

A conference of up to 999 participants can be bought as a single Event Professional pass for $999, once, for that event; the Enterprise pass is priced to size for a thousand people or more. The full list is on the pricing page.

What it does not do

Written down here so you find out now, not on event day.

Attendee networking is not a standard feature

WebMobi networking is in private beta and is not enabled by default. Request activation at /contact-sales or support@webmobi.com.

No live streaming or session recordings

WebMobi runs the in-person conference; customers who cannot travel cannot attend through it.

No lead retrieval for partners

Sponsors and exhibitors cannot scan attendees or download a list of the people who visited them.

No CRM or marketing-automation sync

Attendance leaves WebMobi as CSV files you download from the web dashboard and load where you need them.

No session ratings or surveys

Attendees cannot rate sessions in WebMobi. Session check-ins are the attendance signal.

No per-customer session history export

The report lists people per session. One person’s sessions can be read on screen in History, not downloaded.

User conference questions

Does WebMobi include attendee networking for a user conference?

No. WebMobi networking is in private beta and is not enabled by default. Request activation at /contact-sales or support@webmobi.com.

Can we see which sessions our customers attended?

Per session, yes: the Analytics report lists everyone who attended each session with in and out times, and exports it as CSV. There is no single per-customer export; one person’s check-ins are visible in History.

Can partners have our own tier names?

Yes. Sponsor tiers keep the wording you give them, and a display order you set decides who appears first, whatever the tier.

Can we import the agenda from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Import speakers first, then sessions with a speaker_emails or speaker_names column to link them. An import adds and never deletes.

Is the conference in an app?

Yes. Attendees open it in the WebMobi app on iPhone and Android. An app under your own brand is available as a one-off add-on.

Can sponsors scan attendee badges at their booth?

No. There is no lead retrieval for sponsors or exhibitors; only your own check-in staff scan attendee codes.

Can we stream keynotes to customers who cannot travel?

No. WebMobi does not offer streaming or virtual attendance; it runs the in-person conference.

Can several teams edit the programme?

Yes. Teammates you make admins of the event can edit sessions, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors, and History keeps each change with its before and after values.
