An event app for India: registration, an attendee app on Android and iPhone, and check-in that keeps working when the network doesn’t

For conferences, college fests and company events in India. People register on your own event page, carry the programme and their entry code in the app, and your team checks them in from their phones.

What events in India need from an event app

  • Check-in that survives the venue network. Halls, campuses and hotel basements drop the connection exactly when the queue is longest. In the WebMobi app, staff phones keep checking people in and send everything when the network returns. How offline check-in works
  • Walk-ins at the desk. Many people still turn up without registering. Add them at the desk and they are checked in in the same step. Walk-in registration
  • Many sessions at once. Multi-track conferences and college fests run competitions and talks in parallel. Check people into the session they are in and see afterwards who attended what. Session check-in
  • Android and iPhone. Attendees get the WebMobi app on both, and registration needs no app at all — it happens on your event page in a browser.

Live events are a growing part of the market: the FICCI-EY Media & Entertainment report 2026 found live events in India grew 44% in 2025.

How an event runs on WebMobi

  1. Create the event and its page — sessions, speakers, venue rooms and sponsors.
  2. Open registration on your own event page. For a paid event, paste the link to the ticketing you already use; WebMobi takes 0% of ticket revenue.
  3. Publish it as a test event first and rehearse check-in with your team; test check-ins never count.
  4. On the day, staff check people in from their phones — at the door and at each session — with or without a connection in the WebMobi app.
  5. Afterwards, download who attended each session as a spreadsheet; every check-in records who let the person in, on which device.

What it costs

The Free plan covers 50 participants a year. After that, move to Creator, $19 a month, or buy a pass for a single event from $49 — a wedding, a launch or one conference, with nothing to cancel afterwards. Every plan has the same capabilities; you pay for capacity.

Event app questions from India

Is there an event app that works for events in India?

Yes. WebMobi runs the event page, registration, the attendee app on Android and iPhone, and check-in at the door — including when the venue network drops. The Free plan covers 50 participants a year.

Does check-in work at Indian venues with poor connectivity?

Yes, in the WebMobi app. Each staff phone saves the attendee list beforehand, keeps checking people in without a connection, and sends every check-in when the connection returns. The web check-in page needs a connection.

Can I sell tickets in rupees?

Through your own ticketing or payment provider, yes: paste its link and the event’s button sends people there. WebMobi does not take ticket payments and takes 0% of your ticket revenue. WebMobi’s own plans are priced in US dollars.

Which event apps do Indian organisers usually hear about?

In our 2026-10-23 study of AI answers to Indian organisers’ questions, the most named were KonfHub, Hubilo, Zoho Backstage, Cvent. The full results are in State of Event Apps 2026.

Does it work for college fests with many competitions?

Yes. Add each competition as a session, check participants into the session they are competing in, and download who attended each one as a spreadsheet. Walk-in registrations at the desk are checked in in the same step.

Does WebMobi include attendee networking?

No. WebMobi networking is in private beta and is not enabled by default. Request activation at /contact-sales or support@webmobi.com.
