Taking the “training wheels” off clean energy

At the 2025 MIT Energy Conference, energy leaders from around the world discussed how to make green technologies competitive with fossil fuels. The theme of the two-day conference, which is organized each year by MIT students, was “Breakthrough to deployment: Driving climate innovation to market.” Speakers largely expressed optimism about advancements in green technology, balanced by occasional notes of alarm about a rapidly changing regulatory and political environment.
