EU–CELAC relations ahead of the 2025 summit

After a political lull of almost a decade, the European Union (EU) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) relaunched their strategic partnership in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 27 October 2022. Two years later, the partners are preparing for the next EU–CELAC summit, due to take place in Santa Marta, Colombia, on 9 and 10 November 2025. This leaders' meeting is deemed crucial for the EU to deepen its commitment to LAC and advance the strategic partnership.
